Consultation
Consultation
services are available in either
Beaufort, South Carolina
or
Bethesda
,
Maryland.
Consultation may be helpful for
-
children whose families
are not sure what, or if,
services are needed;
-
children
who have been in long-term therapy with a
plateau in progress;
-
children seen by other
SLPs who are requesting ideas about new approaches
or therapeutic techniques.
Consultation is
typically one appointment, with
some agreed-upon plan for
follow-up. Follow-up
might consist of:
a written list of therapeutic suggestions for the
regular SLP; phone conference with the regular SLP;
videotaping of the session so that the regular
SLP can observe; follow-up
home practice material for child and family.
